Gelli plate to make these gorgeous , busy but
flat background. Mixed media without the bulk, yay !!

6×6 Journal page for Crafts Dreamy

Hello there 〜〜I'm back  \(^^)/
Its been a while since my last post.💦
And now, I just want to share
that I'm  so happy and
thrilled to be on Crafts Dreamy
as Guest Designer for this month's challenge .
I thought this month's mood board ,
portrays a vintage Autumn .

Lucky me, I was motivated by
 this cute digital image which
I've been holding for so long. lol🤣

And this is my project,  a new page for my 6x6 Art Journal !
Please scroll down to see how I made it.

  1. First, I tear around the digital image, tear scraps of design paper and inked the edges of the image with DI Vintage Photo.

2. I adhered the scraps of paper randomnly on my base and applied Gesso all over then dried with the heat gun.

3. I built up my background colors with DI Shaded Lilac and Seedless Preserves.
I also did some stamping with Archival Inks Magenta Hue and Jet Black.
Then I applied modelling paste through stencil.

4. Extra tip, when drying start at the back first then carefully dry the front.
Me, I like to heat dry till it bubble up, mind you, the textures are awesome!
Just be careful not to burn your fingers,Ok.

5.And then,I started my composition.I adhered my focal point, embellished the page with tags, raffia strings and add my faux leather flowers.

6.Finally, I colored the Digital Image with DI Crushed Olive,Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick and did some accent stenciling over it. To finish it up, I inked the edge with black acrylic paint and add white enamel accent here and there.

Bonus tip: This is how I made the Faux Leather flower.
I die cut the flower from a Fun Foam and inked up my text stamp.

I heat it up till it warps up ( be careful not to burn yourself lol !! )

While its all warping up, I stamped my text stamp, making sure all the petals are flat and hold for about 2 to 3 seconds .

Just see how the stamped text appeared so clearly on that perfect leather look!

Rubbing on some Prima Waxes to finish it up.  Isn't that cool??

Well , that's all peeps !! Thank you for dropping by ~~~~

Fly... it's your own sky...

Hello~~~back again with another page for my 6x6 Art journal .
My theme for this page is doing no stress art or crafting .
Not thinking of what brands, no deadlines , no commitments.
Just play and loose oneself in art...
But then again, this is just my opinion (^ ^)

Here's  the materials I used to build up  this page...

Phthalo Green for the base and Titanium White
for the accent stencil from Creative Expressions.
Then, I also used Lindy's Stamp Gang Shabby Turbine Teal,
Blue Hawaiian Blue and Opal Sea Oats for depths on my focal point.
I used two types of dies Robo Rings and Take Flight .
For background stamping, I used Stamper's Anonymous Ultimate Grunge stamp.
For accent, Ranger Crackle Accent and Ranger Enamel Accent.

Here's some close up, see how the LSG sprays shimmer through
the crackle accent ?

Despite the layers of colors, you can still see the background stamping
and not making a muddy backgound. \(^ ^)/

I really love how this page turned out !!
Hope you liked it too ~~~
That's all for now, mata ne ( meaning till then in English )

Easy peasy mixed media mini Canvas

Hello 〜〜〜 Aira here and I want to share with
you, an easy mixed media mini canvas.
Easy but striking because of the vivid colors of
Little Birdie Crafts flowers 😍‼️

Aren't they cute? Making it was so easy and
quite a fast project ( its the picture taking and
writing , editing the post that took me a lot of time )

These are the  materials I used,
Little Birdie flowers Boutique Elements
Little Birdie Brick Stencil
4×4  mini canvas
burlap, cheese cloth
sprays , white gesso and word stamp

Let me show you how I made these cuties

First, I primed the mini canvas with gesso
and dried with a heat tool.
Then , I sprayed mist on the Little Birdie Brick stencil
with colors coordinating the Little Birdie flowers.

When dried, I started to glue down the burlap, cheese cloth and
the Little Birdie flowers accordingly.

Then stamp the journal on white cardstock , cut it out
then adhere on the mini canvas.

Just to add some contrasts, I did some inking on the edges .
And its done ‼️  So fast and so easy , right ?
I hope you get to try and make these mixed media mini canvas
 perfect for the Summer season.
And don't forget to
grab your materials at Little Birdie Crafts online store now (*^ー^)ノ♪

two kind of art stones, micro beads and of course, IOD moulds.

Hi there , here I am with two Atcs

Atc group on Facebook.
Nothing fancy about it,
just the basic process and
basic mediums.
What's different is, I've used my son's
Sora mame inks by  Tsukineko .
And I kinda like its matte finish on this cards.
I sure hope my would be partner will like them.

My Rustic Zinc (?) atcs

Hi there, finally back at home and
I got to do some crafting again.
I admit, just surfing the net and
seeing everyone's work made me drooling all over.

I've been seeing rustic theme here and there,
and so I thought I'd jump in the band wagon lol😁
There's nothing new to the process but
then again, I did some photo😅💦
feel free to skip them over lol😁

I used  Finnabair art basics white and black gesso
to cover my card base and focal point
which is made from paper clay .

Then,  I used the stencil Art is for my card base. Dried with a heat tool then
sprayed it with Azure Sea Asters  .See those shimmers? just gorgeous!!

For my focal point I sprayed it with Opal Sea Oats
to add some depths.

Then , I used Rust Effect Paste , for the keys and
used it as border for my card base.
I also used Micro Beads and Wycinanka chipboard
cheese cloth and cute little flowers to embellish it.
Then finally, I rubbed Brushed Iron  Metallique Wax
to bring out the galvanized look.

So here's my Rustic Zinc atcs !!
And I'm entering it to
May Mixed Media Monthly challenge #48 Rust

Mixed Media World challenge

My 4Ⅹ4 LFB pages

So finally,  its Springtime and we've been having nice weather lately !!
After a long and cold winter, its definitely a treat  to see
different flowers blooming everywhere🌸😍

And I also had a treat for myself to make a 4Ⅹ4 LFB ( Little Fat Book ) page
for a trade in one of my favorite group in Facebook.
I made two pages one for my partner and one for me to keep.

I'm posting these pages as my entry to Craft Dreamy April challenge.

Here's a close up of the pages. I used Lavinia stamp as my focal point on the front.
For the background , I used my all time favorite Distress Inks and Distress Oxides.

And  for the back, I used digital images from Lisa's Altered Art .
I sprayed  Cosmopolitan Pink and Sea Mint Green for an easy peasy background.

Practice makes perfect , so as they say....
And me, I'm still learning this blogging thing,
And I found out its not that easy as it seems (´д`|||)

To all you bloggers out there, I salute you !!
I can imagine the time and effort ( plus the back pain, stiff neck, etc. )
you exert just to post and share a page of your thoughts.
Thank to you all 〜〜👏👏👏
and for those who will take time to drop by, thanks a bunch😍
